Four sites, four ticket windows, three of them cash-only, and no online sales anywhere. This page is the complete fee sheet for a Sepilok visit, verified against each operator's own published rates, plus the payment catches that strand people at the gate.

The cash problem, and how not to have it
The orangutan centre and RDC take cash only, and there is no ATM in Sepilok — the nearest machines are in Sandakan or at the airport. Drawing RM200 per adult on landing covers every gate, the lockers, lunch and a taxi with margin. The Sun Bear Centre is the one gate that saves a cashless visitor's morning, taking cards, Boost, AliPay and UnionPay. Tours sidestep all of it, since fees are prepaid.
Fine print worth knowing
The orangutan ticket is valid all day, covering both feedings. The camera fee there applies to any device that takes photos, phones included, and lenses over 400 mm attract a RM1,000 professional rate — declare it, since the platform staff check receipts. Bags and food aren't allowed past the orangutan lockers; only water on the sun bear boardwalk. Malaysian rates need MyKad at purchase; foreign residents of Malaysia get the reduced Sun Bear rate with a work pass or student card. School groups can apply to BSBCC for fee waivers in advance. Fees are set by the operators and change occasionally; this page is corrected when they do, and our tours absorb changes made after you book.
