Forest Edge sits slightly off the main run in landscaped gardens against the forest boundary: timber chalets and cheaper B&B-style rooms, a pond, and The Nest — a deck restaurant that's arguably Sepilok's nicest place to sit with a drink at dusk.
The place
Chalets are comfortable and private; the B&B rooms make it accessible to tighter budgets without the dorm experience. The resort desk is well drilled on the Sepilok routine — RDC night walk bookings, Labuk Bay taxis with waiting, airport cars — which counts for more here than star ratings do.
Why stay here
Couples and small groups who want quiet over facilities, and anyone who plans to end each day at The Nest. It's a few minutes further from the gates than Nature Resort or Jungle Resort; the trade is calm.
