Two adjacent budget standbys at the RDC end of the road: Sepilok B&B, a friendly guesthouse with simple rooms and breakfast included, and Tanini Sepilok (the former Nature Lodge Sepilok), with dorms and private rooms around a garden.
The places
Both are clean, fan-or-A/C simple, and positioned five minutes' walk from the Rainforest Discovery Centre — which makes them the natural base for birders on dawn starts and for the night walk. The orangutan gate is a 20–25 minute walk or a cheap ride.
Why stay here
Budget travellers, birders, and anyone whose Sepilok is RDC-centred. If your mornings revolve around the 10:00 feeding instead, the resorts nearer the gate save you the daily walk.
